Founded in 1985, Wellfleet Harbor Actors Theater (WHAT) is nationally known as Cape Cod’s most adventurous professional theater company. In 2007, WHAT celebrated the opening of its new Julie Harris Stage on Route 6 in Wellfleet. A tribute to the five-time Tony award-winning actress and WHAT’s honorary chair, this new state of the art theater, together WHAT’S famously intimate Harbor Stage and WHAT for Kids, present a robust schedule of “continually adventurous theater” (Boston Globe) that has become WHAT’s trademark. 3 sites, 3 stages, 3 unique artistic experiences. In addition to its summer season of productions, WHAT has launched an "off season" program including a play reading series, art films, kids theater, a salon and more. |
